The start date of our collection is the autumn of 1971. The impetus was the discovery of older issues of the weekly magazine Stadion in a house in one of the smallest villages on the border of South Bohemia and the Vysocina, i.e. at home. The archive has been the priority from the beginning. Interest ranges from the history of sport and its various branches to current events. Czech and foreign sports books, daily newspapers and magazines, yearbooks, almanacs and detailed statistics of selected sports events. Collecting is a different kind of interest, but for us the collection is an annex to the archive. Since our beginnings, these have mainly been autographs and other items, some of which we exhibit here on the website.
Our interest has become a lifestyle to which we devote most of our time. We have dedicated part of the space of our house to the complete archive and collection, which serves as a private museum for viewing by friends, relatives and acquaintances. |
